Context
As administrator or quality expert, you can schedule the check runs in remote systems
from within the
Central Check System. Check runs using object providers analyse
code in a remote system using the checks provided with the
Central Check System .
Target Audience
- AS ABAP System Administrators
- ABAP Quality Experts
To start a central run series, proceed as follows:
Procedure
- Log on to the ATC master system (Central Check System ) as ATC
administrator.
- Launch the ATC administration tool (transaction ATC
)
- In the navigation pane, expand the nodes and double-click the Schedule Runs entry.
The screen that appears, displays a list with the existing run series.
- Select the run series in question and click the
Schedule button in the toolbar.
- In the dialog that appears, adapt the settings for the Life Span of
the series and for Execution to your needs. Otherwise,
leave these settings unchanged.
Remember The Life Span defines how long (number of days)
the ATC result will be kept in the system. After this duration, the ATC
result will be automatically deleted in the system.

checks
- Choose Execute (or press F8
).
Results
The execution of the run series in the remote system is managed by the ABAP
background processing mode: an ATC dispatcher runs as a batch job within the
Central Check System and from there it starts the individual work
processes using the RFC connection to the remote systems.
After successful completion of this procedure, the check results from the Checked
System(s) will automatically be made available in the Central Check
System for analysis.
Tip With the option Execute in Background, you can
schedule a run series in regular time intervals.
