ATC: Client-IndependenceLocate this document in the navigation structure

The ATC is technically client-independent. This means that both ATC configuration settings and ATC results and findings are visible in all clients of an SAP ABAP System.

The client-independence of the ATC has the following effects:

  • You can apply only a single configuration to all clients of an SAP ABAP System. The configuration applies in all clients of the system, even if these are used by different organizations.

  • You can designate only a single central result to be the current active result in a system. In a system with different organizations using the various clients, it is not possible to set a different active result for each of the organizations.

    This restriction is due to the fact that central results are visible in all clients of a system to which they were published. Since only a single active result is allowed at any one time, only a single system-wide active result is possible.
