Shipping and receiving uses master data and business process data in a variety of business transactions in SAP Extended Warehouse Management.

When using the master data in a specific context and period, you work with shipping and receiving activities, which are business process data. You use shipping and receiving activity data when working with vehicles, transportation units, and doors.

There is no automatic route determination in shipping and receiving. The route determination is used in delivery processing. For more information, see Route Determination in the Delivery.
