Setting Up ATC Transport CheckingLocate this document in the navigation structure

Here is how to set up ATC transport checking:

  1. Log on to each ATC satellite development system in turn.

  2. On each system, start transaction ATC.

  3. In the navigation pane, choose Administration > Setup > Configure ATC and switch to Change mode.

  4. Transport checking is set up in the Transport Tool Integration frame. The fields have the following meanings:

    • Transport Settings: Shows whether the transport system allows transport checking or not.

You can change the setting (to allow ATC checking) in transaction SE03. In the navigation pane, choose Administration > Global Customizing (Transport Organizer). Then choose one of the options in frame Check Objects when Request Released. ATC checking is allowed if you choose Globally activated (checks are always done) or Set by User (checks are done if user permits).

    • Behavior on Release: Lets you set the release policy. Recommended is Inform on errors (priority 1 and 2). The developer can override the ATC and release a transport even if the objects in the transport have ATC findings at priority levels 1 or 2. You can also set a stricter policy or turn off ATC checking.

  5. Save your changes and leave the transaction.

Result: You have turned Q-Gate checking of objects in transports by the ATC on or off. And you have specified the policy for releasing a transport if the ATC finds problems with the objects in a transport request.
