ATC Transport CheckingLocate this document in the navigation structure

You can set up the ATC to check the repository objects in transport requests. The check takes place at the release of a transport request. In effect, you can set up a Q-Gate (quality gate) with which you can check all ABAP repository objects that leave your satellite development systems.

You can specify the release policy with respect to ATC findings. You can allow developers to override ATC findings, or you can prevent objects from being transported until all relevant ATC findings have been corrected or exempted.

Transport checking is meant primarily for use in satellite development systems, since the results are visible only to the user who releases a transport. For this reason, the transport Q-Gate is not a replacement for ATC central quality checking. Instead, you can use it to help ensure that significant quality problems do not reach the consolidation system, where ATC central checking takes place.
