Business Context and Use

You send purchase orders or stock transport orders to an external transportation management system (TMS), for example, as part of a procure-to-pay process or a replenishment process. When you delete an order that has already been sent to an external TMS, the Request Transportation Request Cancellation operation automatically requests the cancellation of the corresponding order-based transportation requirement (OTR) in the external TMS.

Features

The Request Transportation Request Cancellation operation contains the purchase order ID or the stock transport order ID, which enables the external TMS to identify the corresponding OTR.

Error Handling

We recommend that you implement appropriate error handling procedures in the receiving system. An error handling procedure is required, for example, if an external TMS cannot identify an OTR for an order.
