An action is an operation that is performed when the conditions of a rule are satisfied. Every rule has one or more actions. In the rule editor, you add actions under the Then section.

Procedure

  1. Locate the ruleset , expand the ruleset node, the Rules folder and double-click a rule node.

    Locate the flow ruleset , expand the flow ruleset node, the Rules folder and double-click a rule node.

    You can also expand the Rules folder in the Outline view and choose a rule node.

  2. In the rule editor that appears, under the Then section chooseadd a new Action (add a new Action)and in the drop down menu, expand an action type node and choose an alias or definition.

  3. Depending on the action type you choose, the syntax appears.

    Note Note

    You cannot change the action type once you have selected it.

  4. To edit values, choose the existing alias or definition and in the drop down menu choose an alternative definition or alias.

    You can also enter your desired value in the inline text box.

  5. Save the changes.

Select the actions and in the context menu you should see the following options:

  • Delete Row: This option allows you to delete the action row

  • Move up : This option allows you to move an action one row up

  • Move down: This option allows you to move an action one row down

  • Copy Actions: This option allows you to copy actions

  • Paste Actions: This option allows you to paste the actions in the same editor
