Settings for the CTP Process
●
You have maintained
the ATP Customizing in SAP R/3. See also:
ATP Customizing in
R/3
●
You have
transferred the master data and the ATP Customizing to SAP APO. See also:
Transferring
Master Data.
During the Customizing transfer the system created a check mode in SAP APO for the SAP R/3 demand class of the planning strategy. In the Production Type field of the Check Mode you choose the setting Characteristic Evaluation.
You add the check instruction for the business events A and AE:
Field |
Input Value |
Product Check |
First Step |
Start Production |
Availability Check First, then Production |
Time of Production |
After Executing all Check Methods |
Re-create receipt elements |

You add the settings of the check control for the ATP group that you have transferred from SAP R/3 and the business events A and AE:

Past Receipts |
Consider Past Receipts |
You create a new PP planning procedure for the finished product by copying the PP planning procedure 3 Cover Dependent Requirements Immediately. You use the planning procedure to control not only the process of planning, but also the creation of fixed pegging relationships. In the planning procedure that you have created, you make the following settings:
● In the field ABAP Class for the CTP Scenario, you enter the ABAP class /SAPAPO/CL_RRP_CTP or /SAPAPO/CL_RRP_FIX. For information about the differences in system behavior depending on the class that you use, see the document Comparison of the ABAP Classes /SAPAPO/CL_RRP_CTP and /SAPAPO/CL_RRP
● In the field Fixed Pegging in CTP, you choose the option Create Fixed Pegging Relationships.
If you want to carry out multilevel planning in the CTP process, for example, to check important assemblies and components, create a new planning procedure for these assemblies/components with the event Create or Change a Dependent/Stock Transfer Requirement in PP/DS, in conjunction with one of the following actions:
● Cover dependent/stock transfer requirements immediately
● Cover dependent/stock transfer requirements immediately if possible
● Cover dependent/stock transfer requirements immediately with existing receipts
In the planning procedure that you have created, choose the option Create Fixed Pegging Relationships in the field Fixed Pegging in Multilevel Planning.
Alternatively, you can use the BAdI /SAPAPO/RRP_IO_CHECK Extend Multilevel Planning (CTP) to create multilevel fixed pegging relationships in the CTP process. If you do so, you do not need to make any settings in the planning procedure. If you use the BAdI the system automatically creates a fixed pegging relationship, as soon as the system has assigned the requirement element to a receipt element.
1. In the product master of the finished product, check that the check mode for which you defined the production type Characteristic Evaluation has been transferred from SAP R/3.
2. Enter the PP planning procedure in the product master of the finished product.
