Setting the Conversion Indicator

Use

In order for a planned order or purchase requisition to be immediately automatically converted into a production order or purchase order after transfer, the conversion indicator must be set in Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) before this order is transferred.

Prerequisites

Note the restrictions for converting purchase requisitions.

If you are working with conversion checks, the system can only set the conversion indicator for an order in background processing if the order fulfills the conversion prerequisites.

Procedures

Activity	Procedure	Result
Set the conversion indicator in the product view	Select the required orders on the Elements tab page, and select Set conversion indicator.	If you have not saved, you can reset the conversion indicator. If you choose Execute or Save, the system automatically executes the conversion checks set for the order product.
Set the conversion indicator in the order processing view	Set the ConversionInd Indicator.
Set the conversion indicator for the conversion of SNP orders	In the settings for SNP-PP/DS conversion, set the order status Orders with conversion indicator.	The system automatically creates the PP/DS orders with the conversion indicator set, if this is allowed by the conversion check. You cannot reset the conversion indicator.

Result

In interactive planning you can reset the conversion indicator before saving. After saving, it is not possible to reset the conversion indicator.
