Process documentationAutomatic Sending from the Alert Monitor

 

The Alert Monitor can automatically send notifications of alerts that have occurred for an overall alert profile to a system user by email, or to the inbox in the SAP Business Workplace.

Prerequisites

You have defined an overall alert profile. For more information, see Overall Alert Profile.

Process

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, you chooseStart of the navigation path  Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Supply Chain Monitoring Next navigation step Current Settings Next navigation step Set Sending of Alerts End of the navigation path.

  2. You enter the following data:

    • The user that you want to notify

    • The overall alert profile

      You can only assign one overall alert profile to each system user, which is then used to notify the user.

    • The address (email address or inbox in the SAP Business Workplace)

  3. You activate automatic notification for this system user

If you are working with SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO), you can also trigger the sending of notifications manually. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Alert Monitor Next navigation step Send Alerts End of the navigation path. Select the system user you want to notify. If you want the system to automatically send notifications at regular intervals, define a variant of report /SAPAPO/AMON_MAIL_BROADCAST. In this variant, select the user to notify and schedule the sending as a regular job.
