Use

In the heuristic parameters, you can define which method is used to create fixed pegging relationships:

·        Dynamic pegging

·        Batches

·        User-defined settings

If you use the method for creating fixed pegging relationships on the basis of user-defined settings, you must specify the parameters that you want the heuristic to use.

Prerequisites

You have created a sort profile or enhanced the standard sort profile SAP_FIXED_PEGGING by assigning a special sorting. See also: Define Sort Profile

Features

If you want to work with user-defined settings, you must define the following parameters:

Field

Description

Pass On Independent Requirements Information

You only set this indicator if you want to create multi-level fixed pegging relationships, starting from the requirement for the finished product.

Filter for Requirements

You can use the filter to define the requirements for which you want to create fixed pegging relationships by determining the ATP categories.

Confirmed Requirements Only

In the filter you have selected the requirements for which you want to create pegging relationships. You can limit this selection further by setting this indicator. By doing so, you can ensure only fixed pegging relationships for confirmed requirements, such as sales orders, are created.

Sort Profile

You use a sort profile to define the order in which the requirements are assigned to the existing receipts. (Requirements are prioritized using the sort profile.)

Filter for Receipts

You can use the filter to define the receipt elements for which you want to create fixed pegging relationships by determining the ATP categories.

Assignment Strategy

You use the assignment strategy to define the sequence in which the heuristic uses the receipt elements for a requirement; the receipt elements are always sorted according to availability date.

Pegging Horizon

You use the pegging horizon to define the period within which the system creates fixed pegging relationships.
