 Completion of Questionnaire by the Succession Planner

Purpose

You can assign questionnaires to a candidate in Activity Management. It is not essential to send the questionnaire to the candidate. As a member of the support team for the relevant succession plan , you can complete the questionnaire yourself using the responses you elicit from the candidate during a telephone interview.

This enables you to put exactly the same questions to several candidates and then evaluate the different responses automatically using the Ranking by Questionnaire function. Configuration settings for the questionnaires enable you to specify whether questionnaires are displayed after completion or whether they can only be displayed by the responsible succession planner.

Prerequisites

You have created questionnaires using the Creation of a Questionnaire process and thus set up a Questionnaire Library .

Process Flow

  1. You choose Succession Planning on the succession planner’s start page.

  2. You select one or more candidates for a succession plan.

  3. You choose Activities and create a new activity for the candidates.

  4. You select the Questionnaire activity and create an activity.

  5. You assign a questionnaire to the activity. You can use the search help function to do so.

  6. You select the Questionnaire Visible to Applicant field if you want to enable the candidate to display the completed questionnaire when it has been saved.

  7. You choose Complete Questionnaire . The system opens the assigned questionnaire.

  8. You enter the appropriate responses to the questions.

  9. You save the questionnaire temporarily if you want to make changes to the responses. The status of the activity remains Planned . The questionnaire is flagged as already completed .

  10. You save the final version of the questionnaire. As a result of this, the status of the questionnaire is automatically set to Completed . No more changes are possible. The questionnaire is flagged as already completed .

  11. You can view the completed questionnaire by choosing Display Questionnaire in the Questionnaire activity.

Result

In your role as succession planner, you have now completed one or more questionnaires and stored the completed questionnaires in the system. When you have created questionnaires in this way, you can use the Ranking by Questionnaire function to compare candidates based on their responses in the questionnaire.
