Transactions that include merchandise and non-merchandise items that are not picked up or not fully paid for at the time the transaction is created.

Example Example

A layaway transaction is one where the customer does not fully purchase items but is willing to pay a deposit, agree to a payment schedule and cancellation fees, and an administration fee to guarantee that the items are reserved for them when they are prepared to pay in full and pick up the items. For more information about transaction fees, see Fees.

End of the example.

Discounts, such as mix matches, can be included in a pending transaction. If such a discount is applied to a pending transaction, all mix match items must be picked up at the same time and partial pickup is not allowed.
