Fees are associated with standard and pending transactions.

Example Example

For a layaway type of pending transaction you may want to charge a cancellation fee if a customer cancels part or all of the layaway, or an administration fee for storing the items and processing the layaway. You can also charge late fees for non-merchandise items like rentals.

End of the example.

You can override fees by creating an Override Fee function and connecting it to a menu, key, or data entry processing rule. To override the value of an existing fee, or to apply an additional fee to the transaction, you must specify the Fee ID in the menu button or provide a choice list of fee IDs in a data form (the form must include the amount).
