Currencies 
This section describes currency parameters that define primary and secondary currency, or alternate currencies, in which transactions are settled. Following currency definition, configure your tender parameters. For more information about tender configuration, see Tenders.

Corresponding country for this currency in which the POS terminal operates. This parameter can be used for currency formatting |

Overrides the default currency format for the specified language and country |
Major Name |
The major unit of the currency, for example, dollar |
Major Name: Plural Name |
The plural form of the major unit of the currency, for example, dollars |
Minor Name |
The minor unit of the currency for example, cent |
Minor Name: Plural Name |
The plural form of the minor unit of the currency, for example, cents |
Exchange Type |
Currency type can be local or foreign |
Exchange Rate |
Default exchange rate for foreign currencies in relation to the primary currency
If the British Pound is worth $1.60 USD, enter 1.6 in the Exchange Rate field. End of the example. |

Prefix that overrides the default local currency symbol |
