Enabling Adding Portal Content Directly to a WorkspaceLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

In addition to creating module templates within enterprise workspaces, you can also add specific portal iViews or Web Dynpro pages directly to a workspace.

To enable adding portal content directly to a workspace, you need to enable the Add to Workspace property in enterprise workspaces, and also enable this property for each relevant portal iView and Web Dynpro page. As a result of the configuration, the Add to Workspace option is added to the Options of the iView or Web Dynpro page in the portal. Choosing this option opens a screen in which the user can select a specific page in a specific workspace to which to add the iView or Web Dynpro page.

Procedure
Enabling the Add to Workspace Option in Enterprise Workspaces
  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path Workspace Administration Next navigation step Configuration End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Content tab, locate the Content Providers - Portal iViews group.

  3. In the Enable 'Add to Workspace' Option drop-down list, select true.

  4. Choose Save.

Enabling Adding a Specific Portal iView or Web Dynpro Page to a Workspace
  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step Portal Content End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Portal Catalog, open the iView or Web Dynpro page to configure.

  3. In the Property Editor of the iView or Web Dynpro page, from the Property Category drop-down list, select Enterprise Workspaces.

  4. In the Enable Adding to Workspace property, select Yes.

  5. Choose Save.
