Working in expert mode allows you to make changes to an application on the development or configuration level. These changes are considered as modifications, if the corresponding configuration has been delivered by SAP. Changes made to an application on this level are overwritten when a new release or enhancement package is imported.

Procedure

Floorplan Manager provides a user parameter to help you to work in expert mode. To set this parameter, proceed as follows:

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose   System   User Profile   Own Data  .

  2. On the Maintain User Profile screen, select the Parameters tab.

  3. Enter FPM_CONFIG_EXPERT as the parameter ID and X for the parameter value.

  4. Choose Save.

    The navigation links Configure Page and Show Configurable Areas are now available at runtime, allowing you to move easily into the design time environment, that is, the FPM configuration editor, FLUID.

Working in expert mode also allows you to work on applications in administrative mode, that is, work on the Customizing level.
