You can launch FLUID in expert mode if you have developer rights.

This means that FLUID is launched in the Web Dynpro development layer, meaning that all changes to an explicit configuration are considered modifications.

For more information about how to adjust Web Dynpro for Floorplan Manager, see Fitting Web Dynpro to Your Needs.

Procedure

You can launch FLUID in expert mode from the application user interface at runtime or from the ABAP Workbench. To do either of these, complete the following steps:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • At runtime

      1. In the application's user interface at runtime, choose one of the following links:

        • Configure Page

Choose this link to open FLUID at floorplan level in a separate browser window.

        • Show Configurable Areas

This link displays the configurable areas in your application (the configurable UIBBs); a colored overlay appears over those UIBBs that are configurable. Choose one of the areas to open FLUID at UIBB level.

    • In the ABAP Workbench

      1. Open the ABAP Workbench (transaction SE80) and select the package that contains the application.

      2. On the Web Dynpro Explorer: Display Web Dynpro Configuration screen, navigate through the Web Dynpro folders to the application configuration. Double-click the application configuration.

      3. Choose Start Configurator.

      4. On the Editor for the Web Dynpro ABAP Application Configuration screen, choose Continue in Change Mode.

      5. Choose the link for the floorplan component.

  2. The system launches FLUID in expert (developer) mode.

  3. Choose the Edit button.

You are now ready to make changes to the component configuration.

Note Note

The links in step 1 are available only if expert mode has been activated for the user.

End of the note.
