SAP NetWeaver Gateway Hub System

Make sure that the following system prerequisites are fulfilled:

• You have an SAP NetWeaver Gateway hub system where software component IW_FND 250 is deployed. If your SAP NetWeaver Gateway hub system is based on SAP NetWeaver 7.4 or higher, the component SAP_GWFND is installed as standard and includes the functional scope of IW_FND.
• Your backend system has to be registered as an SAP system alias in the SAP NetWeaver Gateway Implementation Guide (IMG) on your SAP NetWeaver Gateway system. In addition, an RFC destination has to be defined in transaction SM59. We recommend establishing a trusted RFC connection to the backend system.
• A dedicated user exists with the relevant authorizations.

To make sure that the connection settings between the backend system and the SAP NetWeaver Gateway hub system have been set up correctly, enter transaction SPRO and navigate to the following activity in the SAP Reference IMG:  SAP NetWeaver  Gateway  OData Channel  Configuration  Connection Settings  SAP NetWeaver Gateway to SAP System  Manage SAP System Aliases . Register your backend system on the SAP NetWeaver Gateway hub system. If necessary you can also add a new system alias. See also Creating the SAP System Alias for Applications.
