If you cannot re-process an update, then you will have to re-enter the data in the update manually. Below is a description of how to find the user who created the update, the time the update was created, and the transaction used:

Procedure

Finding the User and Transaction:

To find out which user entered an update, with which transaction, and when:

  1. Display the canceled updates in update management (transaction SM13). The list shows the names of the users who created the updates together with the update time stamps.

  2. Display the transaction code. Choose   Goto   Update Header  , or Update Header (Update Header). The transaction code is shown in the field Transaction.

Displaying the Data

Starting from the list of aborted update modules, do the following:

  1. Choose Update Modules Modules (Update Modules), or double-click on an update request to display the update modules for this request.

  2. To view the update data, choose Display Update Data (Display Update Data) for each update module.

  3. In the two-column display, select the rows in either column to see the values that were entered in each field. The left column show the internal program name of each screen field or program structure, and the right column the corresponding program field or structure.

You can now enter the data again. Once the data is entered, you have to delete the old update record (with the status Error). For more information, see Deleting Update Records.
