ABAP Repository Information System

The description of the ABAP Repository Information System (in short: Repository Information System) given here is restricted to aspects of relevance for work with the Data Modeler. Using the ABAP Repository Information System, you can search for all modeling objects of the Data Modeler that you wish to display or edit.

The ABAP Repository Information System provides you with the two basic functions Find and Where-Used List.

The Find function allows you to find objects of a specific object class, that correspond to certain selection criteria. You can, for example, search for a list of all entity types belonging to a particular development class.

The Where-Used List function allows you to determine the other objects in which a particular object is used. For example, you could search for all data models in which a specific entity type occurs.
