Configuring Process Orchestration (PI-CP)Locate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have installed the Process Orchestration.

Context

Process Orchestration provides a tool infrastructure to model and design business processes - from the overall process flow and the sequence of activities up to the interfaces and data types that are needed to integrate SAP systems and external systems.

It is based on both the Advanced Adapter Engine Extended and SAP Business Process Management.

Note

In case you want to connect a Non-Central Advanded Adapter Engine with the Process Orchestration system, proceed as follows:

  • Start the SAP NetWeaver Administrator in the Non-Central Advanded Adapter Engine system.

  • Choose Start of the navigation path Configuration Next navigation step Scenarios Next navigation step Configuration Wizard End of the navigation path.

  • Execute the CTC Wizard PI Adapter Engine for AEX . See SAP Note 1525614 Information published on SAP site.

Procedure

  1. After installation of your PO instance, run the automatic, CTC wizard-based configuration.

    Start the SAP NetWeaver Administrator and choose Start of the navigation path Configuration Next navigation step Scenarios Next navigation step Configuration Wizard End of the navigation path.

  2. Choose Functional Unit Configuration UI

    Note

    Alternatively you can call http://<host>:<port>/sld/fun.

  3. As Functional Unit select Process Integration and Orchestration Package.

    All required functional units are selected automatically.

  4. To start the configuration, choose Enable Automatically .
  5. Follow the instructions on the wizard screens.
    Note

    On the corresponding screen under Standard Principal Mapping you define the desired mapping between users, roles, and groups. Make sure that the Map role BPM Navigation and group Administrators check box is selected.

  6. If you want to configure your PO system manually or if you want to repeat a particular step, proceed as follows:
    1. Perform the manual configuration steps described in Manual Configuration for Advanced Adapter Engine Extended.
    2. Perform the manual configuration steps described in Start of the navigation path SAP NetWeaver Library Next navigation step <Release> Next navigation step Application Help Next navigation step Function Oriented View <Language> Next navigation step Composition Environment Next navigation step Business Process Management Next navigation step Configuring Business Process Management Next navigation step Configuring Mail, Notification Messages, and Forms Services End of the navigation path.
  7. To complete the PO configuration, you have to perform some configuration steps manually, described in Start of the navigation path SAP NetWeaver Library Next navigation step <Release> Next navigation step Application Help Next navigation step Function Oriented View <Language> Next navigation step Composition Environment Next navigation step Business Process Management Next navigation step Configuring Business Process Management End of the navigation path.
