You can set up a client application to use the Bounced Mail Framework (BMF). Once you register and configure it, all incoming and outgoing mail messages are controlled by the BMF in the way that you have defined:
Adding Client Applications
Enable this option if you want to receive HTML-formatted mails. Otherwise, all HTML-formatted mails are received in plain text.
Enable this option if you want the BMF to add an automatically generated ID to the From header for each sent mail.
Enable this option if you want the BMF to add an automatically generated ID to the Subject field for each sent mail.
Enable this option to filter incoming mail. Only mails from trusted addresses are passed to client applications. If the address of the received e-mail message is not in the trusted list, BMF sends a notification message to the client application administrator.
If incoming filtering is not enabled, all incoming mails are permitted.
Enable this option to filter outgoing mail. Only mails from trusted addresses are sent. If outgoing filtering is not enabled, the BMF sends all outgoing mails.
To use the features of the BMF, enable at least one of the Add mail message ID options.
You can choose one of the following ways to register your application:
If you have enabled automatic registration of the client applications, this field is disabled.

Viewing Client Application Status
Each client application appears in the list with the initial status Unregistered. Unregistered applications are not able to send mails through the BMF.
Currently, you cannot register client applications other than the iForms Processor, which is part of the Guided Procedures forms solution.
In the event of problems with mail retrieval, the status of the iForms Processor client changes from Registered to Error. You can see the error details by choosing Show Exception Details. To restore the client to status Registered, choose Register.
Configuring Client Application Settings
For each client application you select from the BMF Clients list, you can choose Settings and do the following:
