Prerequisites

You made the required entries on the initial screen.

Procedure

On the overview screen, each postprocessing order is displayed in a separate row. There is a separate column for all standard selection criteria, in which the relevant values are displayed, regardless of your selection on the initial screen.

  1. In the standard system on the overview screen, the postprocessing orders are sorted by the main object on the first level, and by business process on the second level. On the third level, you can sort them by any other selection criteria according to your requirements. Proceed as follows:

    • Select the relevant column by clicking on the column header.

    • Choose Sort Ascending (Sort Ascending) or Sort Descending (Sort Descending).

The detail display for the relevant object appears.

  3. To search for the postprocessing orders based on specific main messages, choose Search for Messages (Search for Messages) in the application toolbar. The relevant postprocessing orders are highlighted in yellow. The system includes only those postprocessing orders that meet your selection criteria and that are listed already on the overview screen.

    Note Note

If you also want to include all other messages, proceed as follows:

    End of the note.
    • Select all main objects by clicking on the related symbol at the start of the row and pressing the Shift or Ctrl key.

    • In the application toolbar, choose Expand Subtree (Expand Subtree).

    • In the application toolbar, choose Search for Messages (Search for Messages).

  4. If you did not use a filter variant on the initial screen but now want to work with a filter variant, choose Filter List (Filter List) in the application toolbar.

If you specified a filter variant on the initial screen but now want to work without a filter, choose Delete Filter in the application toolbar.

For more information, see Using Filter Functions of the Postprocessing Desktop in the sections "Using Existing Filter Variants" or "Creating Filters or Filter Variants".

  5. You can execute the following actions for individual postprocessing orders or simultaneously for several postprocessing orders. You can also execute each action individually for each postprocessing order on the detail screen.

    • To execute an action for a single postprocessing order, select the postprocessing order by clicking on the symbol at the start of the relevant row.

    • To execute an action for multiple postprocessing orders simultaneously, select the postprocessing order by clicking on the symbol at the start of the relevant rows and using the Shift or Ctrl key.

To execute the actions, proceed as follows:

    • Start Processing Postprocessing Orders

Choose Start Processing in the Context Menu of the postprocessing order. You are now the processor of the postprocessing order, regardless of whether or not the postprocessing order is in your worklist.

      Note Note

If you choose Orders to be Processed by Me (1) or Orders in My Worklist (2) on the initial screen or in the filter function, the system displays the postprocessing orders for which you are the current processor.

      End of the note.
    • Completing Postprocessing Orders

Choose Complete in the context menu of the postprocessing order. The status of the postprocessing order is set to Complete.

      Note Note

For mass completion of postprocessing orders, you can use the report Complete Postprocessing Orders. It can be found on the SAP Easy Access screen under   Cross-Application Components   Postprocessing Office   Administration  . Alternatively, you can call the relevant transaction from the application menu of the implementation.

You use the Delete Postprocessing Orders report to delete completed postprocessing orders. You will find it under the same menu path.

      End of the note.
    • Assigning Postprocessing Orders to Another Processor

Choose Change Processor in the context menu of the postprocessing order and enter the name of the new processor.

      Note Note

If the postprocessing order is in your worklist, it will continue to be selected if you choose Orders to be Processed by Me (1) or Orders in My Worklist (2) on the initial screen or in the filter function.

If the postprocessing order is not in your worklist but you are the current processor, it would only have been displayed previously if you had chosen Orders in My Worklist (2). If you assign a new processor, the worklist will only be included if you choose All Postprocessing Orders (3) as the order assignment.

      End of the note.
    • Assigning Postprocessing Orders to Another Worklist

Choose Change Worklist in the context menu of the postprocessing order.

      Note Note

If the postprocessing order is not found in any of your assigned worklists after the change and you are not the current processor, the postprocessing order is only selected if you choose All Postprocessing Orders (3) on the initial screen or in the filter function.

To display or change worklist assignments, you can also use the functions Change Worklist Assignment or Display.

      End of the note.
  6. To refresh all the data displayed on the overview screen, choose Refresh (Refresh).

  7. To go to the detail screen for processing or a detailed display, select the postprocessing order by choosing the symbol at the start of the relevant row and using the Ctrl or Shift key.
