Maintaining Term Status for Target Language Terms
Superusers who want to maintain the status of their translations of a source term need to follow a different procedure for maintaining term status in SAPterm.
To maintain the status of a term, you need superuser authorization for your target language.
Call transaction STERM
Now set your target language as the Source Language and your source language as the Target Language.
Enter the term and choose Find. Alternatively, use Selection Criteria to call up a number of terms based on your requirements (for example, all terms from a specific component with status 1 and 2).
The results list appears containing all terms found.
Choose .
The status of the terms is displayed as follows in the results list.
(Status 1: New)
(Status 2: Changed)
(Status 3: Released)
Choose . The Edit Entry screen appears.
Choose
(Save).
If you have SAPterm superuser authorization, the message Do you want to release the entry immediately (set to status 3)? appears. Choose Yes to release the term.
The status changes as follows:
(Status 1: New) —>
(Status 3: Released)
(Status 2: Changed) —>
(Status 3: Released)
(Status 3: Released) —>
(Status 2: Changed)
Note
If a glossary entry exists for a term, it is not possible to reset this term to status 2 after this term has been set to status 3.
Once you have changed the status of a status 1 term, you cannot change the status of this term back to New.
