Cache Notifications (Integration
Directory)
This function enables you to display
· Which notifications about released changes to the relevant caches are transferred by the Integration Server and Adapter Engine.
· Whether the data update was successful or whether it failed.
If a notification or cache update fails, you can determine the cause of the error.
Cache notifications and cache updates are displayed on two tab pages in the Integration Directory.

You can use the criteria cache instance, notification period, and author to restrict the display.

Notifications |
Contains a list of the released changes that have resulted in a cache notification and cache update. The following information is displayed for each released change. · The cache instance that is affected by the change. · Status and time of the successful cache update. · Status and time of the successful cache notification. · Underlying change Possible changes are listed under cache notifications. The system displays further information for each change.
If the change is the import of a software component version to the Integration Repository, the software component version identifier and the software component name are displayed. If the change is the activation of a change list, the name of the user and the name and identifier of the change list are displayed. |
Problems |
Contains information about the cause of the error when notifications or cache updates fail. In the Problems that Occurred During Cache Update frame, the changes that resulted in the notification or cache update failing are listed in a table. You can find the following information about each problem. · The type of problem is specified in the Problem column. The context can have the following values: ¡ Notification: This is a notification error. ¡ Part Update: Collect Data: This is an error in the Integration Directory.
An Integration Directory object has been deleted and therefore cannot be read. ¡ Data Evaluation: This is a cache-instance error. · The Affected Object column displays information about the object that caused the error. The Detailed Problem Description column displays a description of all selected problems. |
You can request
another cache update, if required. To do so, choose Repeat Cache Update for
Instance (
).
The Problems tab page displays information about problems during the cache update.
