Background documentation Original Language  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

You have the option of defining an original language (independently of the current logon language) for language-dependent text entries. If a translation process is connected to the Integration Builder, this ensures that the text is assigned to the correct language. You can set the original language for the object and the object documentation separately.

You set the original language in your personal settings.

To change the original language, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info Properties in the object editor toolbar.

Applies to the texts that were entered in the documentation editor.

To change the original language, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info Change Language in the documentation editor toolbar.

Note

The system uses the logon language as the default language when it displays objects. If the object is found in one of the user's change lists, the original language is displayed immediately. This ensures that the user also sees the changes that they make.
