Integration Builder 

Purpose

You can do the following with the Integration Builder:

●      Define all objects for the Integration Repository at design time

●      Define all objects for the Integration Repository at configuration time

Depending on which of the above tasks you call the Integration Builder for, you choose one of the following links on the SAP Exchange Infrastructure initial screen:

●      Integration Builder: Design - Integration Repository

●      Integration Builder: Configuration - Integration Directory

This documentation generally uses the term Integration Builder, regardless of whether it is referring to design (Integration Repository) or configuration (Integration Directory). If a property refers specifically to the design or the configuration phase, then this is mentioned explicitly.

This section of the documentation also describes the functions of the Integration Builder that are used for both design and configuration. Functions that are used for specific objects in the Integration Repository or the Integration Directory are dealt with separately under Design and Configuration. Special functions that appear in the main menu bar of the Integration Builder that are specific to design or configuration time are described separately under Design Functions und Configuration Functions.
