Closing a Posting Day for the General Ledger Transfer 

Use

You use the RBCA_GL_CLOSE_DAY report to close all posting days for the specified bank posting areas, up to and including the specified date for all other postings in Account Management (FS-AM). This enables the posting data to be transferred to the general ledger.

This means that postings can then no longer be made on or before this day in Account Management (FS-AM).

The subsequent general ledger transfer is possible only on or before this date. No postings can be made to the general ledger without closing the respective posting date for the general ledger transfer.

Procedure

To call up the RBCA_GL_CLOSE_DAY report, choose the following from SAP Easy Access: Account Management ®Periodic Tasks ® General Ledger Transfer ® Close Posting Day for GL..

Result

After successful processing, all posting days for the relevant bank posting areas are closed, including the specified key date.
