Function documentation Working with the Detail Screen of the Postprocessing Desktop Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

On the detail screen of the Postprocessing Desktop, you can view all details that are relevant for processing a specific postprocessing order. You navigate directly to the relevant objects and positions, and to the postprocessing orders used.

Features

The following screen areas are available for working on the detail screen:

Header area

The header area is directly under the application toolbar and provides an overview of the most important data for the postprocessing order:

·        Main object upon which the postprocessing order is based.

·        Business process for which an event occurred (for example, mass run)

·        Main message for the cause of the event

·        Status of postprocessing order (new, in process, completed)

·        Current processor

You can also enter a comment of up to 50 characters in the header area.

Note

The comment is saved automatically if you start processing or if you complete a postprocessing order. To save the comment if you do not process or complete the postprocessing order, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with quick-info Save from the menu bar.

Note

The header area cannot be changed by Customizing.

Order Area

The order area is found directly under the header area and contains a minimum of the following tab pages with detailed information about the postprocessing order.

Note

In the Customizing for the Postprocessing Office, you can also add your own tab pages for the order area and/or exchange tab pages, hide and/or change their sequence or title by choosing Order Data ® Display Tab Page Display in Order Area.

Order – Filter Attributes

This tab page displays own filter attributes. The prerequisite is that you have processed the IMG activity Define Own Filter Attributes in the Customizing for the Postprocessing Office under Selection Criteria/Filter.

Order Data I

This tab page displays the processing date, creation date and priority of the postprocessing order.

Order Data II

This tab page displays the component, the business process ID, and the postprocessing order ID.

Administrative Data

This tab page shows the user and time for the business process that created the postprocessing order. It also displays the user and time for the last change to the postprocessing order.

Object area

The object area is found directly under the order area and contains the most important data about the main, base and environment objects for the postprocessing order. The object area also enables you to navigate directly to the change/display functions of objects from the processing methods provided.

Note

The processing methods provided in the object area depend on your settings in the Customizing for the Postprocessing Office under Object Types ® Define Processing Methods and Assign Object Types, and Assign Processing Methods to Functions.

You can also add your own tab pages for the object area, and/or exchange or hide tab pages, and/or the object key in the title in the Customizing for the Postprocessing Office under Object Types ® Define Tab Page Display in the Object Area.

Log Area

The log area is found directly under the object area and contains all other messages apart from the main message for the postprocessing order. If only the main message exists, the main message is displayed. If you double-click on a message, the system displays a more detailed message description (if one exists).

You can use the following functions in the pushbutton bar of the log:

You can use the symbols This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Log of Mass Run or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Message Log to go directly to the application log of the mass run or to the log for the selected message.

The symbols This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (critical message), This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (error message), This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (warning) and This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (success message) show the message type. You can use the filter functions to restrict the displayed messages to meet your requirements.
