Procedure documentationAssigning Digital Assets to CRM Business Objects

 

You use this procedure to assign digital assets that are stored in a third party DAM system to CRM objects (Marketing Plan, Campaign and Product).

Prerequisites

To use this function, you must activate the business function Marketing Productivity (CRM_MKT_PRD).

or

To use this function, you must activate the business function Intellectual Property Management (CRM_IPM_1).

You have made the following settings for integrating third party digital assets in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing:

Procedure

  1. In the Digital Asset assignment block of your CRM object, click Add.

    The Search: Digital Assets dialog box appears.

  2. Use the Search function to find the digital asset you want to add, and select the appropriate table row. You can also select multiple digital assets, or all digital assets at once.

  3. Decide whether you want to assign the digital asset version selected in the search result or if you want to assign a dynamic link that always navigates to the most recent version of the digital asset (the link always navigates to the most recent version flag on the search dialog box).

  4. Click Choose. The digital asset or assets are now assigned to the CRM object.

Further features available in the assignment block

To view the assigned digital asset, click View Asset.

To delete the assigned digital asset, that is, remove the assignment to the CRM object, click the Delete Asset icon.

To navigate to the edit page of the digital asset in the third party DAM system, click the Title hyperlink.

To update the attributes that are displayed in the assignment block, for example, after you navigated to the edit page and made some changes there, click the Refresh button.
