Function documentationCommitted Projects

Committed projects are marketing projects that have reached a particular combination of user status and system status (for example, they are Approved and Released), and are therefore already being executed, or are likely to be executed soon. In this sense, they are no longer variables in scenario planning.

If a marketing project is committed, this information is displayed in the Committed column in the planning scope or scenario scope.

Prerequisites

You have defined what combination of user status and system status is required for the system to identify a marketing project as committed. You do this in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), by choosing the following IMG activities:

  • Start of the navigation path Marketing Next navigation step Marketing Planning and Campaign Management Next navigation step Scenario Planning Next navigation step Define System Status End of the navigation path

  • Start of the navigation path Marketing Next navigation step Marketing Planning and Campaign Management Next navigation step Scenario Planning Next navigation step Define User Status End of the navigation path

Features

The main features of committed projects are as follows:

  • When the marketing projects have reached the combination of system status and user status that you have defined in the IMG activities specified above, the system automatically sets the marketing projects to Committed. You cannot remove a marketing project from the committed projects, unless, for example, you or someone else rejects a marketing project.

  • The system automatically adds all committed projects in the planning scope to all scenarios (both operative and alternative).

  • Committed projects are always active. You cannot set committed projects to inactive (if necessary, you can cancel them instead).

For more information about inactive and active marketing projects, see Inactive and Active Marketing Projects.
