Data Exchange for Sales Transactions: CRM Enterprise– ERP System Data exchange for sales transactions enables you to make quotations and sales orders available in CRM and ERP, and to trigger the subsequent logistical processes for orders.
You can also create sales transactions in Mobile Sales. These are also transferred via CRM Enterprise to the ERP system using CRM Middleware.

You have matched the following Customizing settings in CRM Enterprise with the settings in the ERP system:
Transaction type (SAP CRM) / sales document type (ERP).
Item category
Number range
Item number assignments
The sales transaction fulfills the following conditions:
It contains at least one item. Header data from business transactions is not transferred alone.
You have saved the transaction and it does not contain errors.
You have not set the distribution lock.
You can transfer sales transactions from CRM Enterprise to the ERP system using CRM Middleware .
If you make changes in the ERP system to a transferred CRM transaction, they are not distributed back to CRM Enterprise.
You can create sales orders with reference to quotations and trigger subsequent processes for orders in the ERP system.
You can create quotations and sales orders in the ERP system that are transferred to SAP CRM. The documents are only displayed there, and cannot be edited.
You can only make changes to documents created in the ERP system in the ERP system itself. Changes are then transferred to SAP CRM.
You can use the distribution status in the transaction to check whether the transfer to the ERP system was successful. Error messages regarding the transfer are displayed in the application log.
Note
If you also want to display warning messages in the application log regarding the transfer, you have to make the entry PARNAME = COLLECT_WARNINGS in the SMOFPARSFA system table.
You can lock sales documents for processing in CRM Enterprise, and permit display only. You do this when you only want to use a transaction type for the replication of transactions to the ERP system.A user in CRM Enterprise cannot select the respective transaction type for processing. This can be useful for processes that are supported in the ERP system, but not in SAP CRM, for example configuration processing.
In order to block a transaction type for online processing, select
in the Implementation Guide (IMG). Select the required transaction type and

and make the appropriate setting in the
Inactive
field.
Interdependent changes allows you to create, change, and transfer transactions in CRM Enterprise and in the ERP system. You can find more information under Interdependent Changes .
The data exchange scenarios X, Y, and Z allow you to define your ERP system as the leading business system , and make changes to sales transactions there only. You can find more information under FDefining ERP as Leading System (Data Exchange Scenarios X, Y, Z) .
Note
If you use SAP CRM 4.0 <SP04 and SAP R/3 4.7, you cannot use interdependent changes or data exchange scenarios X, Y, and Z.
