A DIMa instance contains all parameters that are required for checking data consistency between databases. You need to create a DIMa instance through the DIMa Instance Wizard to define the parameters for a new data compare.

Procedure

To create a DIMa instance, you can either create a new DIMa instance or copy an existing DIMa instance.

Creating a new DIMa instance using the DIMa Instance Wizard:

  1. On the CRM Server choose Start of the navigation path Architecture and Technology Next navigation step Middleware Next navigation step Data Exchange Next navigation step Synchronization Next navigation step Data Integrity Manager. End of the navigation path

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path DIMa Next navigation step Define New DIMa Instance End of the navigation path or choose New DIMa Instance.

    The DIMa Instance Wizard is displayed.

  3. Fill in the required data and choose Continue. The Wizard guides you through the creation procedure and provides additional information for each step. Choose Complete to finish the DIMa Instance Wizard. You created a new DIMa instance.

Note Note

If you selected Start Compare on Wizard Completion the compare run is started automatically. If the compare run is not started automatically, you have to start it manually. You can also schedule the compare run as a background job.

Creating a new DIMa instance by copying an existing DIMa instance:

  1. On the CRM Server choose Start of the navigation path Architecture and Technology Next navigation step Middleware Next navigation step Data Exchange Next navigation step Synchronization Next navigation step Data Integrity Manager. End of the navigation path

  2. Double click on the DIMa instance that you want to copy.

    Choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Copy DIMa Instance End of the navigation path or choose the button Copy DIMa Instance. Enter the name for the new DIMa instance.

You can copy the DIMa instance with or without the filter conditions. You can only change the filter for the copied DIMa instance.

Result

The new DIMa instance is displayed in the tree structure.
