Changing Business Transactions Transferred to SAP ECC
You can make changes to sales transactions and complaints that were created in SAP CRM in CRM Enterprise, even if transfer to SAP ECC has already taken place. For more information, see Data Exchange for Sales Transactions: CRM Enterprise - ERP System.
Status of document in SAP ECC: Whether or not you can make changes depends on various statuses in the SAP ECC document, for example whether the order has already been delivered, or whether follow-up documents exist, such as billing documents. You can display the status in the CRM business transaction.
System availability: If a change must be made to a transaction document, both the SAP CRM system and the SAP ECC system must be available. This synchronization avoids inconsistencies in the systems.
If you want to change a business transaction, the system first checks via the distribution status, whether transfer to SAP ECC has already taken place. If the document has not yet been transferred, changes can be made in the transaction. If the transaction has already been transferred, the field selection is controlled by means of specific statuses. After transfer to SAP ECC you can no longer change the item category, for example.
Note
You can change an item if it has been partially delivered. However, the following conditions apply:
You can only change items that are not relevant to the availability check.
You can only change the quantity. If you reduce the quantity so that it is lower than that already delivered, the system issues a warning message.
As soon as the status of the SAP ECC document is known, the system controls field selection in the CRM transaction, and you can make the required changes.
As soon as you have saved the business transaction, and it is without errors, changes are transferred to SAP ECC, and the SAP ECC document is updated.
SAP ECC sends confirmation back to SAP CRM about whether the transaction was changed there or not.
You can delete an item in a business transaction that has already been transferred to SAP ECC. There are two options for this:
The system automatically sets the reason for cancellation 00 for the item, for which the To be deleted
indicator is active in Customizing in the standard system.
You enter a reason for cancellation for the item, for which you have activated the To be deleted
indicator in Customizing.
The item is also deleted in SAP CRM, only once a response from SAP ECC has been received.
