Preparing Your Consumer 

This section describes the preliminary configuration tasks you need to perform before you can connect to other producer portals and begin consuming content exposed by them.

Some tasks are dependant on the content usage mode you are working with as a consumer. If a task is required for more than one content usage mode, you only need to perform it once. Note that some tasks also require complementary action by an administrator on the producer portal to complete the configuration.
