Classification 

Use

You can use the modeling environment for Variant Configuration to classify the material you have loaded. In other words, you can assign a variant class to it.

Prerequisites

A variant class must exist before you can classify a material.

You cannot use the modeling environment to create classes.

Restrictions

You can assign only one variant class to a material in the modeling environment.

You cannot define a range of values in the classification.

Activities

To classify a material, proceed as follows:

...

       1.      Select the configurable material.

       2.      Choose Assign Class from the context menu.

       3.      Enter the required data and choose Continue.

Result

The assigned variant class is displayed under the material in the model tree.
