Define Cost Profiles and Cost
Premiums 
Use this procedure to define planned costs. You assign each employee within your organization to a cost class when making them available for scheduling. The system uses the cost data to estimate the cost of a schedule.
1. You access the activity through either:
¡ The SAP IMG, by choosing the path SAP IMG ® Customer Relationship Management ® Workforce Deployment ® Retail and Interaction Center Workforce Deployment ® Schedule Settings ® Planned Cost Estimation ® Define Cost Profiles and Cost Premiums
¡ The SAP Easy Access menu, by entering the transaction code CRM_WFM_SM.
You see the initial page for the site maintenance tool.
i. At Profile Type, display the selections and choose Schedule Rules / Parameters.
ii. At Sub-Type, display the selections and choose Cost Profiles & Premiums.
iii. Choose Search.
iv. Click Cost Profiles & Premiums, the topmost node of the tree, with the secondary mouse button and choose Create.
You see the Create New Parameter dialog box.
v. Enter a Profile ID, which is the name of the cost profile and cost premium assignment the system displays in the tree view.
vi. Enter a date defining the first day for which the cost profile and cost premium assignment is valid.
vii. Choose Continue.
2. You see the define cost profiles entry page where you enter the following information:

The system considers this cost profile valid for the range defined by the start and end dates. Note that date entries may not overlap. |
3. Define premium information for the cost profile by completing the following fields in the Define Cost Profiles area.

4. Define the Level 1 Daily Overtime Details for the cost class. Once an employee works the specified number of hours for the threshold, the system multiplies the employee's pay rate by the value in the multiplier field to determine the planned cost of the scheduled overtime.

For example, if overtime is defined as any hours worked after working 10 hours in one day, enter 10 in the Hours field. |
Multiplier |
Enter the pay rate multiplier for level 1 overtime. |
Enter the pay rate multiplier for the first threshold. For example, if the employee earns time and a half for working level 1 overtime, enter 1.5. |
5. Define the Level 2 Daily Overtime Details for the cost class. Once an employee works the specified number of hours for the threshold, the system multiplies the employee's pay rate by the value in the multiplier field to determine the planned cost of the scheduled overtime.

6. Define the Weekly Overtime Details for the cost class. Once an employee works the specified number of hours for the threshold, the system multiplies the employee's pay rate by the value in the multiplier field to determine the planned cost of the scheduled overtime.

7. Define the Consecutive Date Overtime Details for the cost class. Once an employee works the specified number of days for the threshold, the system multiplies the employee's pay rate by the value in the multiplier field to determine the planned cost of the scheduled overtime.

Entered in days. For instance, if employees are paid more per hour for working 6 or more days in a row, then enter 6 in the Days field. |

Enter the pay rate multiplier for consecutive days overtime. For example, if the employee earns double pay for working more than the consecutive days threshold, enter 2.0. |
8. Complete the cost profile by defining the following fields:

Salaried Overtime paid if weekly pay is less than |
Enter the salary amount that determines if salaried employees are entitled to overtime when they are scheduled to work over 40 hours/week. |
Enter an amount. Any salaried employee making less than the salary amount entered here may receive additional pay when scheduled over a given number of hours per week. The pay will be their weekly salary divided by 40*1.5. |
Salaried Overtime applied to weekly hours over |
Enter the number of hours to which time and a half is paid to salaried workers scheduled for more than 40 hours per week. |
Entered in hours. This figure represents the number of hours up to which the employee is paid their salary. Any time over that is paid at the determined hourly rate x 1.5. |
9. Save your entries and choose the record you just saved.
10. You see the Define Cost Premium table.
11. Choose New Entries.
12. Define the following fields in the Define Cost Premium table.

Enter a start time for the premium. |
The Start Time must not be earlier than the daybreaker, and must not overlap with the End Time. |
End Time |
Enter an end time for the premium. |
The End Time cannot overlap the Start Time. |
Premium Rate |
Enter the premium rate. |

Enter the currency in which the premium is paid. |

When entering the Start Time and End Time, either enter the times into the field or choose input help to display the Choose Time dialog box. When at the Choose Time dialog box, choose the clock icon to switch your entries between 12-hour format (using am and pm) and 24-hour format (where 2:00pm is 14:00). Regardless of the format in which you entered times, the system displays them in 24-hour format. You must enter times in 15-minute granularity. You enter midnight as 00:00 not 24:00.
13. Save your entries.
