Define General Settings 
The system requires specific holiday, currency and reference time definitions when creating schedules. Use this procedure to define the general settings that contain this information.

1. You access the activity either through
¡ The SAP IMG, by choosing the path SAP IMG ® Customer Relationship Management ® Workforce Deployment ® Retail and Interaction Center Workforce Deployment ® Operational Settings ® Define General Settings
¡ The SAP Easy Access Menu, enter the transaction code CRM_WFM_SM.
You see the initial page for the site maintenance tool.
i. At Profile Type, display the selections and choose Operational Settings / Parameters.
ii. At Sub-Type, display the selections and choose General Settings.
iii. Choose Search.
iv. Click General Settings, the topmost node of the tree, with the secondary mouse button and choose Create.
You see the Create New Parameter dialog box.
v. Enter a Profile ID, which is the name of the general settings definition the system displays in the tree view.
vi. Enter a date defining the first day for which the general settings definition is valid.
vii. Choose Continue.
2. You see the Define General Settings table where you complete the general settings definition by entering the following information:

Displays the Start Date you entered at the Create New Parameter dialog box. |

If no end date is planned for the location, enter 12/31/9999 to signify an open-ended validity range. |
Short Description |
A label for the general settings definition that the system uses for display purposes. |

Holiday Calendar ID |
A unique identifier corresponding to a Holiday Calendar in CRM. |
Choose the holiday calendar from the drop down list. |
Currency |
Defines the currency associated with this general settings definition. |
Choose the currency from the drop down list. |
Reference Time |
Reference time for relative times (used in availability templates and preferences). |
Choose: · Operating Hours · Primary Work Area Hours · Maximal Work Area Hours |
Adjustment Type |
Defines the budget constraint managers can use to adjust the workload in order to have the system generate schedules that meet their location’s budget requirements. Only the adjustment type selection made during configuration is enabled at a location. |
Choose: · Payroll · Hours · Payroll Ratio · Performance Driver Per Hour |

3. Save your entries.
