Use

Use this procedure to define holiday cost profiles and premiums. These contain holiday cost rules that you want the system to apply to employees based on the employee’s default settings group. Holiday cost profiles improve the system's accuracy in forecasting the cost of a schedule that includes holidays.

Note

You can define only one holiday per week.

 

Prerequisites

You have defined Default Group Settings.

 

Procedure

       1.      You access the activity through either:

¡        The SAP IMG, by choosing the path SAP IMG ® Customer Relationship Management ® Workforce Deployment ® Retail and Interaction Center Workforce Deployment ® Schedule Settings ® Planned Cost Estimation ® Define Holiday Cost Profiles/Premiums

¡        The SAP Easy Access Menu, by entering the transaction code CRM_WFM_SM.

You see the initial page for the site maintenance tool.

                                                  i.       At Profile Type, display the selections and choose Operational Settings / Parameters.

                                                ii.       At Sub-Type, display the selections and choose Holiday Cost Premium.

                                               iii.       Choose Search.

                                               iv.       Click Holiday Cost Premium, the topmost node of the tree, with the secondary mouse button and choose Create.

                                                 v.       Enter a Profile ID, which is the name of the holiday cost profile the system displays in the tree view.

                                               vi.       Enter a date defining the first day for which the holiday cost profile is valid.

                                              vii.       Choose Continue.

       2.      You see the holiday cost profile entry page where you enter the following information:

Holiday Cost Profile

A unique identifier for the holiday cost profile that you entered at the Create New Parameter dialog box.

 

Start Date

A beginning date for the holiday cost profile that you entered at the Create New Parameter dialog box.

The system considers this holiday cost profile valid for the range defined by the start and end dates. Note that date entries may not overlap. 

End Date

An end date.

If no end date is planned for this holiday cost profile, enter 12/31/9999 to specify an open-ended validity range.

Short Text

A short description of the holiday cost profile.

The system uses this for any displays or drop down lists.

Max Hours per Week

The maximum number of hours per week that full time employees should be limited to for the holiday week.

For example, if your maximum number of hours per week is typically 40, a week with one holiday would limit the maximum hours to 32 (assuming 8 hour days).

Include Holiday Hours in Overtime Calculation

Defines whether the system should include holiday hours in overtime calculations of estimated pay.

Choose this field to include holiday hours in overtime calculations.

Include Hours Worked in Overtime Calculation

Defines whether the system should include holiday hours worked in overtime calculations of estimated pay.

Choose this field to include holiday hours worked in overtime calculations.

Long Text

A detailed description of the holiday cost profile.

 

       3.      Choose New Entries.

       4.      You see the Holiday Cost Premium entry page where you enter the following information:

Holiday Cost Profile

The Holiday Cost Profile you entered from the previous step.

 

Holiday Cost Premium

A unique identifier for the holiday cost estimation premium.

The name of the holiday cost premium the system displays in the tree view.

Default Settings Group ID

The default settings group to which this holiday cost premium applies.

Choose the default settings group from the drop down list.

Start Date

A beginning date for the holiday cost estimation premium definition.

The system considers this holiday cost estimation premium definition valid for the range defined by the start and end dates. Note that date entries may not overlap.

End Date

An end date.

If no end date is planned for this holiday cost estimation premium, enter 12/31/9999 to specify an open-ended validity range.

Holiday Premium Type

The manner in which the premium is to be paid to the employee.

Choose from one of the following methods:

·        Undefined

·        Additional Amount per Hour

·        Multiplier per Hour

·        Additional Amount per Day

Eligible Benefit Hours

The number of premium hours paid to the employee for working a holiday.

 

Additional Amount

An extra hourly amount paid to the employee for any hour(s) worked on a holiday.

 

Currency

The currency in which the premium is paid.

 

Base Hours

The rate on which holiday premium pay is based.

 

Multiple applied up to Base Hours

A value the system uses as the standard multiplier.

A standard multiplier to apply to the holiday premium base rate.

Multiple applied after Base Hours

A value the system uses as an additional multiplier.

An additional multiplier to apply to the holiday premium base rate.

       5.      Save your entries.

 

Result
