Setting Up the Mobile Client Companion

This process describes how you can set up the Mobile Client Companion application on your Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).

The Mobile Client Companion application is installed on the PDA. The Microsoft ActiveSync application is installed on your mobile client.

The eMFLPTSync.exe file is located on your mobile client in the SAP Mobile Companion Bin folder.

Activate the initial download

Choose the Perform Initial Download checkbox on the Mobile Client Companion/Companion Synchronization tile set. This creates the table structure, on your PDA.
Download the master data.
Choose the Synchronize Customizing Data checkbox to download all the data to the PDA. This will download all the required customizing records from the user database on your mobile client to the PDA.

Note
The number of products downloaded to the PDA is limited because the volume of data is large.

Trigger synchronization.
Choose the Synchronize push button.

You have set up the Mobile Client Companion application on your PDA. You can now view and manage your daily activities on your PDA.
