Mobile Client Companion Administration
This function details the synchronization activities between the Mobile Client Companion and your mobile client. The Mobile Client Companion business component enables you to administer data between your Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and the mobile client.
This function also describes how you can view the rejections that are triggered when there is a failure after data exchange between your PDA and the mobile client.
Synchronization
Allows you to update your Mobile Client Companion with the most recent data that is present in your mobile client application. Data is synchronized based on the date range that you specify and the type of data, such as activities that is to be downloaded. Along with the activity records, the system also downloads the related contact person and business partner information to the PDA. The synchronization process is triggered from the mobile client and not from the Mobile Client Companion.
Note
When you trigger synchronization, a status message appears indicating that the synchronization process is complete. This means, that the data is only transferred to the user database on the Mobile Client Laptop. The data is transferred to the PDA once the PDA is connected to the laptop.
If your PDA is connected to the mobile client, then any data that is created on the Mobile Client Companion is transferred to the mobile client when the SAPPDASync.exe on the PDA is executed.
Rejections
Enables you to view the rejections that you receive on the mobile client. Rejections are messages that are triggered when the data upload from the Mobile Client Companion to the mobile client is not successful. The failure of the data upload can be due to incorrect or insufficient data.
The rejections are grouped according to the business components from which they are triggered and they allow you to understand the cause of the error. You can then rectify this error by performing your insert, update, or delete content operation again.
Note
If the information displayed in the rejection is technical, then you must contact your system administrator.
