Function documentationAction Monitor Locate this document in the navigation structure

You can monitor and trigger the processing of actions for several documents and marketing objects by using the action monitor.

If, for example, you have set the processing time for an action (for example, output) as Process Using Selection Report in Customizing, you can use this program to select the actions and trigger processing manually.

Note Note

It can also make sense to process actions with the processing time when saving using the action monitor, if, for example, time-dependent conditions have been fulfilled after a certain time without any changes to the document. Execute the program regularly so that actions are also started in these cases.

End of the note.

If you regularly schedule the program as a background job, the system can automatically start certain actions, whose start conditions have been fulfilled, at a particular time.

Define a variant for this, in which you specify your selection criteria and select the flag Process without Dialog.

Integration

The action monitor program RSPPFPROCESS (transaction SPPFP) originates from the Post Processing Framework (PPF). You can use this program to check processing for all actions (for example, output, follow-up documents).

Features

  • Selection

You select actions based on the application (in SAP CRM, this is usually CRM_ORDER, except for Marketing Planner actions; use CRM_MKTPL), the action profile, the document number (application key), the status (for example, Unprocessed) or the processing time.

If you select Process without Dialog, the system automatically processes the selected actions without outputting a list first.

  • Task

You receive a list of actions according to your selection criteria.

In the status column, you can see whether the action:

    • Has not been processed (yellow)

    • Has been processed successfully (green)

    • Has been processed incorrectly (red)

You can select individual actions in the list and:

    • Trigger processing manually.

      To do this, select Process.

    • Repeat processing.

    • Display output issue.

      To do this, select Preview.

    • Display a processing log.

To do this, select Processing Log.

You can also display whether the action has been changed, repeated, created manually, or blocked.

Activities

To display actions that have not been processed to date, proceed as follows:

  1. Call up transaction CRMC_ACTION_JOB for sales transactions or CRM_MKT_ACTION_JOB for marketing objects.

The screen PPF: Selection and Processing Actions appears.

  2. Enter additional selection criteria, for example:

Action profile ORDER_MESSAGES or CRM_MKTPL_TPM and

    Creation date to Today's date

  3. Choose Execute.

You see a list of unprocessed actions that have been created in the system up to the current date.
