Business Content Provider Workflow 
This process gives an overview of the activities involved in creating business content providers.
Understand the data that must be included in the report or chart.
Identify the business queries and objects that can retrieve the required data.
Create the business content provider.

Define formulas for the business content provider.
This is an optional activity, but it is especially useful for a chart where, for example, the total number of records is required. You can define a calculated field, known as a formula, and add it to the business content provider.

Note
SAP also provides predefined formulas, such as COUNT (*), currency conversion, and logon language.
Design the report or chart by selecting the business content provider as the source of data.
