You can create reports in Mobile System Maintenance (MSY) using the following third-party tools:

  • Crystal Reports

  • Microsoft Excel

The decision on the tool to be used for reporting depends on the customer. All the reports created or downloaded appears in the Reports component of Mobile Sales.

Prerequisites

  • If you use business queries as the data source, the required business queries and BDocs exist in CRM.

  • If you use a business content provider as a data source, you have created a business content provider.

Process

Using Crystal Reports

Crystal Reports provides an efficient analytical and reporting function. You must install the Crystal Report Designer to be able to create crystal reports.

You can create:

Using Microsoft Excel

In most cases, Microsoft Office, which includes Microsoft Excel, is available on laptops and PCs where the Mobile Sales application is installed.

You can create:

  • Simple reports

    Allows you to combine data in a single spreadsheet.

  • Super reports

    Allows you to create super reports using multiple data sources.

    SAP NetWeaver Business Information reports are also available in Mobile Sales. You cannot, however, create these reports in MSY. These reports contain information about operational and historical data. The download of these reports from SAP NetWeaver BI is automated; this process is triggered and managed in CRM using the MobileBW transaction.
