Assigning an Instance of an Object Type to a Process

1. Log on to the CRM server and choose Architecture and Technology ® Middleware ® Development ® Development Scenarios ® Middleware Object Navigator (transaction CMWMON).
The Middleware Object Navigator screen appears.
2. Select Scenarios from the drop-down list.
3. Enter the name of the scenario for which you want to model the steps and choose Enter.
The scenario appears in the generic tree.

To view the list of
existing scenarios, choose
.
· In addition, to select a set of scenarios, you can use the wild card characters asterisk (*) and percentage (%). For example, to select scenario names that start with SMOG, enter smog* and choose Enter.
4. Double-click the scenario.
The Scenario Details screen appears.

Under Plan Steps, choose
.
The Model Steps pane appears.

To expand or
collapse all the steps, choose
or
respectively.
6. Select the required step.

The Assign an object screen appears.
8. Under Assign an object, in the Object Name field, enter the name of the object or choose F4 to select the object from the list.

.
The selected instance of the object is assigned to the step.

· If the object instance is valid, the status of the step changes to Completed.
· If you choose not to assign an instance of an object to a step, you need to model the execution of the step. For more information, see Modeling a Project.
The selected instances appear under the scenario in the generic tree.
