Establishing a Dial-Up Connection by Using ConnTrans 

Prerequisites

You have installed Dial-up networking on the mobile client.

Procedure

       1.      Invoke ConnTrans.exe.

The ConnTrans screen appears.

       2.      Choose .

The Transfer Services and Advanced Settings tabs appear.

       3.      Choose the Advanced Settings tab.

       4.      Under Connection Options, select Use Dial-up and the required dial-up connection from the drop-down list.

       5.      Choose Synchronize.

The Connect <connection name> dialog box appears.

The subsequent steps are similar to establishing a dial-up connection through an external application. For more information, see Establishing an External Dial-Up Connection.

Result

You have established a dial-up connection through ConnTrans. After the connection is established, ConnTrans immediately starts synchronizing data.
