Price Determination in the Web
Catalog
Using this function, you can define the way in which prices that are displayed in the catalog in the Web shop are determined.
You have the following price display options for the product catalog in the Web shop:
● List price only
● IPC price only
● IPC price and list price
You determine which option to choose on the Catalog tab page, in the Shop Management application.

You can also use authorization objects to control the display of prices to particular users browsing the catalog in the Web shop. The authorization object is delivered in the standard authorization roles delivered by SAP. You can change the object to suit your needs and, thus, stop the display of prices to particular users in the catalog. For more information about changing authorization objects, see the E-Commerce authorization concept documentation in SAP Solution Manager.
In this case you read prices from the index server: Price determination takes place when the product catalog is replicated. The prices shown in the Web catalog (list prices and pricing scales) are read from the index server and are not customer-specific. This means that all customers are shown the same price for a product.

You cannot read prices from the index server when you use sales contracts in B2B CRM E-Commerce, since contract-specific price arrangements und the configuration carried out in the contract are not possible.
For more information, see Price Determination for List Prices.
The system recognizes customers by their user ID when they log on. Pricing takes place in the Internet Pricing and Configurator (IPC), once the customer has chosen a catalog area that contains products. The determined prices are customer-specific.
For more information, see the pricing documentation in the SAP Library under Customer Relationship Management ® Basic Functions ® Pricing.
