Procedure documentation Transfer Business Partner to Public Contact Directory Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This process explains the steps necessary to enable the transfer of business partner data from CRM to the public contact directory.

Note

The synchronization of business partners with the public contact directory is bidirectional, that is, data from SAP CRM can be replicated to the Groupware user’s public contact directory, and vice versa.

Recommendation

We recommend that you limit the size of the message (Block Size) to 10 for the loading of business partners. To set the message block size, use the transaction R3AC1 and view the details of BUPA_MAIN. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Display -> Change  and enter the value 10 in the field Block Size.

Prerequisites

You must have performed an initial load for all relevant customizing objects.

For more information, see Load Customizing Objects to Groupware.

You have created a site using the Groupware Adapter 01 (mBDoc) site type and assigned all the subscriptions relevant for synchronization with the public contact directory to it.

For more information, see

Create Sites for the Groupware Adapter

Create Subscriptions for Groupware Integration

Procedure

...

       1.      In the SAP CRM Easy Access Menu, choose SAP Menu ® Architecture and Technology ® Middleware ® Data Exchange ® Initial Load ® Start (Transaction R3AS).

The Start Initial Load screen appears.

       2.      Under Object, enter BUPA_MAIN.

       3.      Under Data Flow, in the Source Site (Sender) field, enter CRM.

       4.      Under Data Flow, in the Destination Site (Receiver) field, enter the name of the site that is based on the Groupware Adapter 01 (mBDoc) site type.

       5.      Choose Execute.

You must ensure that:

The queues of type ISP_D*, which process inbound Groupware messages to the Groupware Adapter, are empty.

The queues of type ISP_D* are registered under the Queue IN scheduler.

The queues of type CRI* are registered under the Queue IN scheduler.

Result

A dialog box appears indicating that the initial load is in progress. All messages are transferred to one of the ISP_D* queues and processed by the SAP MapBox.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

All messages must be processed without any errors.

Recommendation

We recommend that you restart the SAP MapBox after you complete the load of customizing objects.

The business partners loaded from SAP CRM (business activities and tasks) are indicated in the Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes categories with the prefix CRM_BP <mySAP CRM Category>. You can edit these categories in SAP CRM Customizing under Customer Relationship Management ® CRM Middleware and Related Components ® Groupware Integration ® Maintain Groupware Object Master Category List.

After the data transfer, the file UserList.xml in the SAP Groupware Connector should contain all relevant business partners. After the data transfer, you should therefore check if the file UserList.xml contains all the relevant business partners. To check the file’s content, use transaction SE16 or SE17. Enter the table name MBMANDTSTORE. In the table display, enter “userlist” in the field MBGROUP for the name selection. Afterwards, you can display the entries contained in the file UserList.xml.

If the file does not contain the necessary business partners, check the following:

Make sure that the business partner is maintained in the role Employee.

Make sure that an e-mail address is entered in the Communication (address-dependent communication) group box in the business partner data.

You then have to load the business partner again by means of an initial load. To do so, choose SAP Menu ® Architecture and Technology ® Middleware ® Data Exchange ® Initial Load ® Start (Transaction R3AS).
