A Site ID is a unique ID assigned to a mobile client to facilitate data exchange between the mobile client and the CRM server. You need to assign a Site ID only if the data in the mobile client has to be replicated to the CRM server.
You must assign or reassign a Site ID only in consultation with your system administrator.
You must have:
· SAP CRM Mobile Sales installed.
· A user ID with the access rights of the system administrator on Microsoft SQL Server and DBOwner on the IDES database.
· Read and write access to the registry. Set the user database login parameters in the registry.
· A user ID and a password for the CRM server you want to connect to.
You must know the server details of the CRM server you want to connect to.
You can get the server details in the SAP Logon screen.
...
1. On the Client Console screen, choose Action à Client Administration à Assign Site ID.
The Assign Site ID - CRM Middleware Connection screen appears.
On the Customize Client Console screen, if you have selected the option Reuse Middleware Login and have already logged on to the server once in this session, the Assign Site ID screen appears. Continue with step 3.
2. Enter server details and login parameters and choose Connect.
The Assign Site ID screen appears displaying the Site IDs that can be assigned to the mobile client.
If the Site ID you are looking for is not displayed in the Available Free sites list, it means that the Site ID is not yet created or another mobile client is assigned to that Site ID.
3. Select the required Site ID from the Available Free sites list and choose Assign.
Use this procedure if a Site ID is already assigned to the mobile client and you want to reset the Site ID or change the Site ID.
You must first change the registry details of Client Console. For more information, see Changing the Registry Details of Client Console.
